It was all applause and accolades for Shen Yun Performing Arts, as spectators took in the premiere show in Brussels Tuesday.

[Edward McMillan-Scott, Vice President of the European Parliament]:
“Very good. It’s very important that real Chinese culture is not forgotten despite the 60 years of repression and cruelty. The spirit of China still lives on.”
Ward Kennes is a Member of the Flemish Parliament. He enjoyed how ancient stories came to life on stage.
[Ward Kennes, Member of the Flemish Parliament]:
“I was very much impressed by that of the warriors, the terracotta army. I’ve heard a lot about it. I’ve read about it. I very much appreciated the scene where it came to life. It was a nice scene.”
Heidi Hautala is a Member of the European Parliament and chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Human Rights. Her attention went to the story of the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China.
[Heidi Hautala, Member of the European Parliament]:
“I’m very impressed by the artistic quality and the sincerity of the performance and of course the message that Falun Gong practitioners are severely persecuted and punished in China. [...] You can really see that the artists are really high level, high quality, and that the team is very well trained to work together. So there is no compromise about the artistic quality of this performance.”
Shen Yun will perform every day at the National Theatre in Brussels until April 3rd.
