“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” — part 1 Premier in New York City

Finally, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” launched its red-carpet premier Monday evening at Discovery Times Square in New York city.

This is the first installment of the two-part film adaptation of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” The second part is up and coming in July.

Actors, Oliver and James Phelps and actress Bonnie Wright showed up at the premier. MTV’s Josh Horowitz streamed live the event at MTV’s website.

For New York City Harry Potter fans, the celebration is just beginning. Tomorrow (April 5), will be the official opening of “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” at the same location—Discovery Times Square building. It will show 7 days a week, until September 5, 2011.

And for fans who want to stay at home, you can watch the movie on DVD without being left behind—the event also celebrated the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" on DVD and Blu-ray.
