Roll up! The Circus Is In Washington, DC

Now there's something you don't see every day.

A parade of elephants took to the streets in Washington to celebrate the arrival of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

It was an unusual sight for the city, where presidential motorcades are commonplace, and the only wild animals you're likely to see are squirrels and pigeons.

[Adrienne Goldstein, Onlooker]:

"We were just sitting there and we saw these elephants walking down the street so it was surprising and they were, you don't get to see this every day so it was fun to see."

The six elephants marched their way to the U.S. Capitol, before taking a walk downtown.

[Monica Billger, Onlooker]:

"I just love the elephants, when they stood up it was fantastic to see them and the kids loved it. It was just great to see their faces smiling."

Of course, the Greatest Show on Earth wouldn't be complete without a cleaning truck following closely behind.
